Near Tournus, the restaurant La Marande, with one star in the 2014 Michelin® Guide, welcomes you to a charming bourgeois home built in Burgundy stone, surrounded by a large landscaped garden. Elisabeth and Philippe Michel, the site's owners, reserve you the warmest of welcomes for a delicious gourmet experience.

Restaurant's atmosphere 
Two dining rooms lead off from each side of the entrance hall. Discover a delicately contemporary atmosphere where elegance dominates the interior design and the service. This is ensured by Elisabeth, who will be happy to advise you during your meal. When the weather is fine, take advantage of the restaurant's terrace and enjoy your lunch or dinner in the restaurant's gardens. Our restaurant does not accept pets.

Seasonal cuisine
Refinement is also the watchword for the dishes prepared by the Chef Philippe Michel. He serves seasonal dishes prepared with fresh produce. Of course, Burgundy is always a guest at your table, but with a delicate touch of originality, even exoticism, as can be seen by this “Dim Sum” style Snails dish. The Chef adopts a new approach to French gastronomy and brings his own sensitive touch to it to create inspired dishes straight from the heart.

Winery 
The wine list pays tribute to the vintages of Burgundy with about a hundred references direct from Mâconnais: Mâcon Village, Viré-Clessé, Pouilly-Fuissé, and more. The wine cellar also includes 200 references from some of the best regions in France: Jura, Alsace, Loire, Rhone Valley, Champagne and South. Philippe Michel and his team

Master Chef of France, Philippe Michel, has been at the helm of the restaurant kitchens since 2001. He trained under several prestigious names in the world of gastronomy, such as Gérard Besson, Pierre Gagnaire, Pierre Hermé and Georges Wenger. On the strength of his solid experience and as a custodian of a culinary tradition which combines know-how and discipline, today he serves inspired dishes prepared in accordance with the seasons and local produce. 

With his gourmet Burgundy restaurant, which he runs with his wife Elisabeth, this Chef has gradually forged himself an excellent reputation, which has been rewarded with one star in the 2014 Michelin®  Guide and recommendations in several guidebooks.

Banquets and cocktails

Invite family and friends to La Marande restaurant. We can cater for between 25 and a maximum of 40 people. Family meals, christenings, anniversaries, weddings, communions, and more, organise your reception in Burgundy in a charming hotel restaurant. 

According to your wishes and the number of guests, the Chef offers several seasonal menus for a seated meal, banquet, or cocktail reception. Along with your guests, take advantage of a pleasant, peaceful and elegant setting accompanied by delicious gourmet cuisine.
